Plutinos LP out today!

TODAY IS THE DAY!!  I can finally say that the Plutinos LP is OUT!!  One year ago the idea of putting out a full album of my own material seemed both impossible and terrifying.  I’ve learned throughout this process that fear is just a part of it, and it’s something you learn to live with.  One of my favorite books “Big Magic” describes fear as a backseat passenger on the road trip of your life- it’s always along for the ride and you learn to live with it’s presence, but at the same time you have to make sure that you aren’t putting your fear in the driver’s seat or allowing it to chart your course in any way.

Putting this album out has been my way of charting my own course and keeping my fear in the backseat- It’s been a labor of love that has been immensely rewarding as well as incredibly challenging, and has helped me grow and change in so many ways that I never even imagined.  I consider it my greatest personal accomplishment thus far regardless of how it’s received or how many people like it or listen to it, and can’t wait to dive into the next one!

I would like to thank my brother from another mother Jimmy Stofer for providing bass for the album- his creativity, feel, and musical taste added so much to the tunes.  I’d also like to thank my amazing wife Holly Barnes for the countless hours she gave me to hole up in my basement and work on this- when you’re a self-employed musician with a family of four it can be difficult to justify a huge time investment on something that could have little or no monetary return, but she has been so supportive and encouraging throughout the process, and I am so thankful to have her by my side as we go through life together.

The album is available on all major streaming services and you can also purchase it on iTunes or Bandcamp.  Bandcamp is a cool way to go as it is more direct-to-artist and allows you to get the full high quality WAV files rather than compressed MP3’s.  All the lyrics are also posted on there as well if anyone has a hard time understanding what I’m saying :)

Wishing you all a joyful, peaceful, and fulfilling holiday season!
